Automated bookkeeping software for Nigerian SMEs
Simplebks does the bookkeeping as you run the business. Every sale, purchase, expense and payment you record posts the double entries behind it.
On Professional and Enterprise, bank alert emails are read for you, matched to what you recorded and given a suggested category. You confirm, and the books stay current.
You do not need to be an accountant. You record what happened, and Simplebks makes the double entries. Bank lines are different: Simplebks suggests, and you decide.
FAQ
Does Simplebks post my bank transactions automatically?
No. It reads them and suggests the match or the category, and you confirm. Simplebks does not create transactions from your bank lines on its own.
Which banks does it read?
Bank alert emails from thirteen banks: GTBank, Zenith, Access, UBA, First Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Fidelity, Sterling, Wema, FCMB, Polaris, Kuda and OPay. For any other bank, upload a statement. You can also connect a bank account through Mono.
Do I need to know accounting?
No. You record sales, purchases and expenses in plain terms and Simplebks makes the double entries. If you want the full ledger, journals and statements are there on Professional.
Can my accountant work in my books?
Yes. Invite your accountant or accounting firm. You approve what they can access, the access has an end date, and you can renew or end it at any time.
Can I close the year?
Yes, on Professional and Enterprise. Preview the close, then commit it. Closed periods can be locked against new entries.
Which plan do I need?
Basic adds the profit and loss report. Professional adds the balance sheet, cash flow and trial balance, journals, bank import and matching, the cashbook, depreciation and year-end close. Every plan gets the monthly management report. See pricing.
