RetailMan is a real, long-running product with weighing-scale hardware support built in and a track record going back years in Nigerian retail. Because it's installed on the till itself, it never depends on your internet connection for the sale to go through.
Choose RetailMan if
you run one till on one Windows PC, don't need production, purchasing RFQs or Nigeria-specific tax reports, and would rather own the software outright than pay monthly.
Choose Simplebks if

How does RetailMan's licence model compare with Simplebks?
RetailMan is licensed per till, as a one-time license or a 12-month rental, and you install it on a Windows PC. It doesn't include production, purchasing RFQs, budgets or Nigeria-specific VAT and WHT reports, and it only runs on the Windows PC it's installed on.
Does RetailMan work without the internet?
Yes, for a single till. It's a Windows program installed on the PC, so the sale goes through with no internet connection. Simplebks is cloud-based, but on Enterprise its offline till keeps selling for up to 24 hours during an internet drop and syncs automatically once you're back online.
Can RetailMan run more than one branch?
Yes, with an add-on. RetailMan syncs branches through an FTP Server add-on and a designated head-office PC, and each branch till still needs its own license. Simplebks runs a second business under the same login, with stock and sales for both.
Does RetailMan produce Nigeria VAT and WHT reports?
No. RetailMan offers a general Sales Tax Report and Purchases Tax Report, not Nigeria-specific VAT or withholding-tax reports. Simplebks produces VAT and WHT reports straight from your transactions.
Can I run a restaurant on Simplebks?
Yes. Simplebks includes tables and a floor plan, kitchen screens, tabs, split bills and a QR menu with a shareable link customers can order from. RetailMan has none of these.
Can I bring my RetailMan products into Simplebks?
Yes. Export them from RetailMan and use the Simplebks Excel or CSV import, which lets you match columns and preview before saving.
