Does a Hike setup need more than one app?
Yes, for a multi-outlet business that needs real accounting. Hike doesn't keep books, so you add Xero, QuickBooks Online or MYOB, and the setup still has no manufacturing or RFQ. Simplebks covers POS, full accounting, purchasing and production in one app.
Does Hike keep its own books?
No. Hike has no general ledger, profit and loss or balance sheet of its own. It syncs sales and purchases into Xero, QuickBooks Online or MYOB, where the actual bookkeeping happens. Simplebks keeps full double-entry books in the same app as its till.
Does Simplebks work offline like Hike?
Yes, on Enterprise. The Simplebks till keeps selling offline for up to 24 hours, then syncs. Hike's iPad app can also keep selling while offline, but back-office functions and the register-close report aren't available until it reconnects.
Does Simplebks work with Nigerian card terminals?
Yes. Moniepoint and OPay card-terminal payments are recorded at checkout and marked verified once they show up in your bank reconciliation. Hike's own payments and integration pages don't name a Nigerian processor or terminal.
