Purchase orders that follow the real buying process
Raise a purchase order, get it approved, and send it to your supplier as a PDF or a shareable link. Duplicate a PO you raise often instead of starting over.
Change an approved PO with a proper amendment: every change is kept in the PO's history, and the correction posts to your books without rewriting the original. Receive a delivery that arrives in two trucks in two receipts against the same PO. If a delivery has more than you ordered, or an item that was not on the order, it goes to an exception for approval before the extra stock is accepted. Add the shipping cost into your stock cost.
Request for quote: one request, several suppliers (Enterprise)
Build one request for quote, invite as many suppliers as you want by a share link or on WhatsApp, and let them respond without a Simplebks account of their own. Compare every quote side by side, line by line, then award the business to the supplier or suppliers you choose, and Simplebks pre-fills a purchase order from the award. A request for quote goes through an approval step before it's sent.

Staff ask for approval before they spend, and money moves only once it is signed off.
When you give staff cash in advance, they account for it afterwards with receipts, so every naira is retired against what it was spent on.

FAQ
Can I receive a purchase order in more than one delivery?
Yes. Record each delivery as its own partial receipt against the same PO, and anything that arrives over the ordered quantity, or that was not on the order, is held as an exception for approval.
Can I change a purchase order after it's approved?
Yes, through an amendment. Every change is kept in the PO's history rather than overwriting the original, and a compensating entry posts to your books.
Does shipping get added to what my stock actually cost?
Yes. On a purchase, the shipping amount is spread across the product lines by value and added to each line's unit cost, so your stock valuation reflects the cost of getting goods to you. Landed cost covers shipping only and is available from the Basic plan.
How does request for quote work?

Does a supplier need a Simplebks account to respond to an RFQ?
