Set up

Activate your terminal once
Open Settings, then Bank Accounts, and activate the terminal on the bank account that receives the settlement.

Choose Card Terminal at checkout
In the till, add a Card Terminal payment to the sale.

Pick the provider
Choose Moniepoint, OPay or Other.

Add the slip reference
Type the reference from the terminal slip. Letters, digits, spaces and the characters . _ - / : # are accepted.

Match it to the bank
The payment counts as paid straight away and is marked unverified. When it shows up in bank reconciliation it is marked verified.
Limits and known issues
- Because there is no provider connection, Simplebks cannot confirm a payment before your bank settles it.
- A payment that never settles needs a resolution from you in Simplebks. Check your terminal provider first.
Not supported yet
- A live Moniepoint, OPay or PalmPay confirmation API.
FAQ
Does Simplebks connect to my Moniepoint or OPay terminal?
No. Simplebks records the payment you enter. It has no live link to the terminal provider.
How is a terminal payment verified?
It stays unverified until it appears in your bank reconciliation, then it is marked verified.
Does it work offline?
No. Card terminal payments are not available while the till is offline.
Which terminals can I use?
Pick Moniepoint, OPay or Other. Any terminal that gives a slip reference can be recorded as Other.
